My panther is trying to find a spot to lay her eggs swollen belly and always going to the bottom of the cage to try to find a spot. so we filled a bucket with play sand and some organic dirt. but she keeps going down to the bottom of the cage below the opening of the bucket. she does not like her bucket....and ideas on what to do or what i can use. the video that was posted was great to make on but no when your cham doesnt like the bin.

My female Veiled was like that - despite having a choice of two tubs, she kept digging around the base of them on the floor. I used empty livefood tubs and cardboard to create a false floor level with the top of the tubs.

As large a container as cage space will allow. I used an empty washed out 4litre ice cream tub for mine, and built the floor up so the floor became level with the top of the tub.

we got her a new tub she still doesnt like it and still isnt laying her eggs we even got a brighter bulb the basking temp is not 87 not making much of a diff.....im not sure what to do shes still big and round but not bright pink anymore shes more grey now DX

I use this method with great success. You have to get sneaky and trick them into thinking they are going down to the ground. The funnel prevents them from climbing down and over the lip of the container to the floor, exactly where you don't want them to go! Filling up the entire cage floor with sand would be ideal, but usually that isn't practical.. and messy.
The cardboard method mentioned above is the same concept. You can also just place them in a garbage can full of sand so the whole floor is diggable if you don't want to mess around with contraptions.
The single stick method works really well for me, I think it removes all the choices on where to lay and creates a single point of focus for digging. It's also easy to add\remove from the cage when she's finished.
Just placing a container in the cage often doesn't work since the surface of the sand is above ground level. Once inside the funnel they can't see out and think they are all the way to the ground;)
