My Cham

You can get him to live a normal healthy life if you act now. I've seen them worse than your and recover. Their casque stays smaller and their bone curved but they can go on to live a fairly normal life. He needs liquid calcium and the vet will most likely give him an injection to draw the calcium into the bones faster. If you can get him natural UVB outside that would also help allot. You can read Jack's story in the link below.

I'm not a fan of the coil bulbs and would never use them. Maybe you can take that bulb back and exchange it for a Reptisun 5.0. This is how I recommend keeping veileds.

That's what I thought but here in Denver they won't let you return bulbs, so I figured she wouldn't have $35 to go buy another plus the holder. Best to have something better than nothing...

I do have the $35 but I drove 2 hours to get this one. I just listened to the person at Petsmart. But I will work on it, don't worry about that

Hi there! Sorry to see your chameleon has some issues. Did you read the thread on MBD? Were you dusting his food with calcium since you got him? Is the first of you using a UVB bulb??

I did read the post, it was very helpful I can really see that they didn't inform me very well on the care that they need. I have really learned a lot from this group. (Which I really appreciate) I have had the bulb that is the day and night bulb together in 2 different bulbs. I went and got a new bulb today and some different crickets. I do dust them with the calcium but I wasn't sure how often I should do that?? He won't eat any fruit or anything from my hand, any ideas on how to get him to do it?

Listen, those people that Petsmart are hired to make sales. They have no idea what they are talking about usually. I have made that mistake too. It's the almighty dollar they are pushing, not healthy babies. If babies were healthy they wouldn't make any money, right,
