Please help!! I'm new here and only joined because I'm so worry about my new baby veiled chameleon! she hardly ever eats, you can see her ribs. and her color is a greyish/green. this morning i woke up and fond her in the water dish i was using to collect excess water from the reptifogger!! she hardly ever keeps her eyes open and has been going to the bottom alot more within the last few days. she was sick when i got her and the pet store didn't even want to sell her to begin with. shes in a 20 gallon take with a screen top. i spray her 4 to 5 times a day and try to keep the humidity and temp balance for here. my max humidity is about 80 and temp. 85 ferienhight. i have a uvb and 150 watt night time basking bulb above the screen about 3 inches. i try not to run a drip because the excess water from the reptifogger will most the time drip small amouts of water through out the day. i will post pics soon. i just need a camera to do it. i feel my husbandry is fine and replicates what she had in the pet store well. so can anyone please help me befor i lose her and blame myself for not letting her stay at the shop!!!:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

fill this out so we can get a better perspective of whats going on and guide you on what your steps should be but in this case im really suggesting you go to a vet.

Pictures are helpful

she shouldnt have no night bulb unless where she is drop more the 60 degrees and you should change her enclosure she need a screen enclosure

thanks for the reply and i will have to get u the majority of that tommarow. she is in a screened glass tank and she hasn't ate at all exept one cricket. i dont dust or gut load my crickets yet because no one has told me how to properly do it plus she isnt eating. the vet is no option at the moment because i cant aford it. im only 18 and have a pretty bad job so needless to say i cant afford it. i will update you tommarow with pictures and everything you listed although any sugjestions based on what i said would ne helpful.:(

for now on you should gutload crickets with veggies and crystal water, and supplements you should have plain calcium everyday ,calcium with d3 twice a month and multi vitmain twice a month.all you have to do is sprinkle the crickets with the calcium you dont want to over do it.make sure you mist her with some warm water in the morning dont put no night lights if you have any.and even if you have a screen lid the glass stress out a cham very easily since their so territorial they would think is another cham.

you may not want to replicate their enclosure because they expecting to sell those cham quick but sometimes they will be their for several months and chams hide any type of sickness till they get transfer and all weird stuff starts to happen

umm i didnt get a exact date but i beleve shes 3 to 4 months. very tiny. and i dont like to handle her more than nessisary. ive took her out to try to get her to eat. and have more her in the tank when i see that shes about to fall or is on the bottom of the cage like she has been. she drinks from the side of the glass alot and from the screen top also. but not as much as i would like her to.

and the night time bulb is her basking light. i only have the 1 basking light and the 1 tube uvb that puts out no heat. the light is in a dimmer to control temp. as well.

during the day her basking bulb can be a house bulb 60 watts but since winter coming if your houseis to cold you can go up to 75 watts

i was running a 75 watt normal bulb at first. but having to basking lights and the uvb was to much. and i live in CO so with the winter coming i want to make sure to hold the temp. for her. because it loses temp quickly and i want a constant heat source for her so i just use 1 night bulb that i keep on constanly and i ajust it as to the temp in the tank and how close she gets to it.
