multible uvb lights

i got 2 24" Reptisun 5.0 its been about 6 months and time to replace them. they are in one fixture is it beneficial to have two uvb lights other then just one? i am ordering from LLL and the shipping is the same for one or two.

what do yall run?

Personally, I would opt to order as many as you can without shipping going up but just using one in the hood. You could put a regular low/cool light fluorescent in the other socket just to provide light to see by but I don't think that two UVB lights would make a good difference in your chams health. someone with more knowledge can tell you if two lights would actually be harmful or not but I bet that just one would be best. Also, by ordering in bulk, you won't have to buy a new UVB bulb for a while and will save on future shipping.

I think that it would be a great idea to put the plant bulb in the second slot. That way you can keep both your cham and your plants happy I choose to use two 10.0 UVB lights on my large male panther cages, one in the front and one in the back to ensure full coverage while my smaller female cages only have one 5.0 tube
