Mulberry farm's silkworm pods question...

i bought a pod of silkies and i'm wondering if this is an issue...

i've been trying to empty out all the frasse daily but i find that all the silkies are attached to each other in a giant wad of silk. i'm having a hard time removing the frass b/c the wad of worms is getting in the way and plus the frass is sticking to the chow in the pod.

is it okay that they're stuck in a wad of silk? is this normal?
what about the frass on the mulberry chow?

the hornworm pod is way easier to maintain and i don't want to feed these silkies if the frass on their food is a problem. thanks!

do you have the cup with lid down and food at top? The frazz or poop should not be an issue then.

the instructions for the silkies on the pod says "food down and lid up". now the instructions for the hornworms says the opposite. i thought about doing it w/ the silkies but didn't...can i just do that?

what about all the silkies stuck together in the wad of silk? should i separate them?

do to silkies like you do with the hornworms food top and you can break the silk cacoon they made if you want
