mucus?

earlier today my guy was kindof smacking his lips a bit. it looked like he had some thick goo in his mouth. it went away after he swallowed, so i wasn't too concerned. i've been told that fischers are hard to keep, but he has been active since i got him(about a week ago) and he doesn't seem to have any problems with hands, since he readilly climbs onto mine or my girlfriends all the time. social and active implies healthy right? he likes to explore, and he goes to sleep at roughly the same time every night and wakes up at about the same time every day.

Mucus can sometimes mean a upper respiratory infection .....check to see if he's making a cracky or popping noise when he breaths, or if he's gaping when he breaths. They naturally have a sticky saliva for sticking insects on the tounge....so It could have been that. There saliva is clear...if your seeing a solid green or yellow mucus ther is definAlty an issue.
