Mouth still open!!!!

Hank was treated for a RI and dehydration. He seemed to get better, then started opening his mouth again. I took him for a two week checkup after the original ri treatment day and the vet said his lungs sound great but he is having a problem breathing through his nose so she prescribed a different nose drop, has anyone else dealt with a chameleon stuffy nose????

Hello, I haven't and I'm new so hopefully some body will chime in soon. My only thought would be that their puss and secretions are so thick maybe his nose needs suctioned out. Just a thought and then I wouldn't have any idea of how to do that on a chameleon. Sorry. I'll check back in the morning to see what others think.

I work with large parrots as well as reptiles.Sounds like a vitamin A deficiency. Ruth

What are your temperatures at the basking point, the middle of the cage and the bottom of the cage?

They often open their mouths to cool down.

83° basking, 75°middle and 74° bottom

I also misunderstood my girlfriend, the vet said he has swolen sinuses, and not a stuffy nose like listed above
