Mouth staying open

My chameleon just started doing this, he is sitting there with his mouth slightly open, but when i get up he closes it. Is this normal?

Sometimes they gape to vent some heat. Might want to check the temp at that spot where he's doing it, but a little heat gaping is normal. Just make sure you adjust things so it happens infrequently. Personally I tune until they stop doing it completely.

I should add, I'm assuming he's not wheezing or bubbling, or anything like that. If he's breathing fine and his mouth looks normal inside and out then it's probably just heat.

Yeah i use to see him open it like a yawn, but today he was just holding it open. And no breathing problems from what i know. Someone in an ealier post i had with a picture said something about a white around his mouth? Would you like to see a picture?

I don't see anything wrong with his mouth in that picture. He does kinda' remind me of Christopher Lloyd, though.
