Mouth rot?

I'm surfing around trying to find more info on mouth rot. I'm not too familiar! I'm having issues with navigating the site on my ipad, however...

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out what this chameleon has been through. Is this what mouth rot can look like? He was at an expo today...horrible place....had two females in his small glass cage and one seemed almost lifeless snoozing on a branch sprawled out in broad daylight.

Here is the photo:

I wish I had room to help them all. The only thing these expos are good for are feeders and cheap brand-name bulbs, IMO.

Oh my gosh they are selling him like that? The one limb looks very thin and his eyes look sunken. That could be mouth rot but honestly I am thinking more like some type of injury. It almost looks like some of his lip is. missing. If he is wild caught and not captive bred they can get pretty beat up looking. The way to tell mouth rot is to open the mouth up and see what the inside looks like. I don't know if you have access to that or not. looks like his rostral is pretty much gone too

That looks a lot like mouth rot but carol is right it may be an old Injury that has been infected. His rostral is completely gone and he looks extremely dehydrated. He looks very rough. Poor little man. I am surprised someone at an expo is selling animals under those conditions.

Wow, poor guy, he also looks severely dehydrated. I cannot believe someone would bring him to an expo to sale, I certainly hope not. He needs some tender love and care!!
