morio worms

Going by the gap between his eyes, at the top, I think my 5 month old veiled might be able to handle morio worms, but they're quite long. Could the length of the morio worm be too much for him?

I wouldn't be intending to use them as a staple feeder for him, just a supplement, as they're mostly intended for my pygmy hedgehog.

Do you mean zophobas morio, as in superworms? Please tell us the age and gender of your cham, looks like you have a veiled. But really the best feeder to supplement with is crickets, because they have a poor calcium to phosphorus ratio, and superworms are not really a priority supplementer.

Yea, I think they're superworms.

He 5 months old now, that pic was taken a couple of weeks ago & he's grown since then!

His staple diet is 50:50 crickets and locusts. He's not much interested in calci-worms, dubia or silk worms. The morio worms were intended as just something different to offer him, not as his staple. I'm pleased he likes them.

Haha yeah most chams like supers, even a little too much... don't feed them too often, because he may get addicted and eat nothing else, and they are not all the nutrition he requires.

I think of one large superworm to equal about 2 or 3 large crickets.

That's useful to know, thanks! I've heard many tales of them refusing everything but worms, so I'll be careful. 1 per day at his afternoon feed, I think. He get his food in order of his least favourite lol
