More Ethel Webster!

No way!
How strange is that,
Excellent third version absolutbill,
Have you made a decision for the children yet Tiff? I wondered if one of the spider selling shops would be interested?

Omg! She's so cute! Been watching her having a wander. She finally left her nest and went exploring so I took a few pics. This is my favourite by far!

'Mummy!'

Oh she is just the sweetest thing! still floofy still gorgeous- It's so exciting, the whole egg thing- in at the deep end a little but what an opportunity and experience.

Yep, she even came up to the top and I didn't get a hot sweat going either! Just love watching her, even the way she walks is cute! I can't bring myself to remove the egg sac, so she gets to keep her babies. Her abdomen is a lot smaller so she definitely laid.

loving the false eyelashes- very pretty indeed!
So if she keeps her babies will you put a mesh over the top to keep them in? or just let them stay around- do they give maternal care? protecting them etc?
You are brave- with the lid off and a jumping spider I would be almost hysterical!

Haha! I don't think she would jump out. She pretty much plods around. Yeah, I'm planning on putting thick sheer net curtain material over the top. God help me! I've been told that she'll keep tending the nest, I just need to remove babies once they start emerging!

OK, how in the world are you planning on removing hundreds of TINY baby spiderlings without her escaping? Face it, you're going to have to abandon your house to her and her offspring...

Currently looking into getting a subadult male! Yes, I know, I previously said they look too much like the ones in the shed that I hate with a passion, BUT, I am intrigued and captivated by these Cuties. Someone on Facebook referred to them as 'octokittens' and that sums them up perfectly!
