More darkness at night?

Anyone have an effective solution for giving a cham more darkness at night if the TV is on for a while, or a computer screen? I cover my bird cage with a blanket and that works great, but heat lamps on a timer make that risky for the cham cage. I'm thinking about using velcro and some material that attaches to the sides of the cage, but before i start making anything i wanted to see if anyone has already done this.

Coroplast or three way folding kids school project posterboard. I keep some beside my cages in my room, for when I am up late. Some chams are really light sleepers. Others sleep like passed out drunks.

That could work. Or you could just use Lazy Boy's method and just pull the blanket off before you go to bed. Still a little risky though because if you forgot about it then it could cause issues. I'm honestly not sure because I've never had to do that with my chameleon. He's a really deep sleeper so he's never really bothered by it.
