Yes! I’ve never read the book. I think the author is interviewed during this documentary as wellThere is a great book called the "Lizard King" about importer Stricktly Reptiles in Florida. This looks to be a follow up segment.

Crazy times during the heyday of what the book covers. I have my digits crossed that the documentary has updates to modern times.Yes! I’ve never read the book. I think the author is interviewed during this documentary as well
I just finished the series. It doesn’t seem like things have improved. I agree with you about Europe. Just looking at the chams available there lets you know the illegal trade is still alive and wellI am interested about watching this documentary for import updates. About a decade and a half ago there was consistant news about illegal Reptile imports in the USA. The Reptile import scene since then appears to have done a lot of cleaning up in the USA. Europe Reptile imports is another matter.

I’m glad they are harder to get in the US. Makes me feel like at least something is working to slow the smuggling down
Good show![]()
I totally agree. When I look at Europe it can only be one of two scenarios in my small mindI have got to watch this series.
Europe having got all the species to keep in the hobby is something to aspire too here is the USA. However making that happen has got to be done appropriately and sustainably (built to last).

One of them says no problem I can get a pandaSaw a trailer for this when it came out, didn’t watch it yet though. I will say it seems like no secret that animal trades and criminal markets overlap. An interesting thing I’ve noticed in my years of the inner city and such, drug dealers tend to love exotic animals. Heck even Escobar had a zoo.
