Monk is 1 year 2 months, ready for his Big Boy cage

Hi everyone

Monk is, as you read, 1 year and 2-4 months now, veiled, and starting to seem a little cramped in his teenage cage of reasonable dimension, I think 3 feet high. he's generally healthy and well tempered (slash properly grumpy) and well treated. The little man is growing up and we're ready to give him the space he needs.

We have the luxury of a bit of space to give him (he's in a sunny spare room almost to himself, paradise for his hermity self) and we've been looking at A PARROT CAGE of ample size, 5.5 feet high and good dimensions all around.

it's bars are cross hatched, like chicken wire space apart or a little wider and there will be lots of space for his plants and climbing business, and a flat roof because if he's feelin chilled out he likes to bask on top of his cage in the window.
the other plus is they are easy to find in fairly attractive looking enclosures, which we want in the room he's in.

does anyone have any experience with parrot cages for chams?

thanks for your opinions.

attached a photo, so you can see how he's doing, we haven't posted in a long time out here. always appreciate the solid advice.

thanks for the look-see. is he about the right age for the move, do you think? we're just eyeballing the situation here.
