Molting crickets?

So I took a picture of what I thought was a molting cricket the other day. Now it appears I have one in my lobster roach bin. Am I crazy or is this something I should be worried about?

This is the one it looked like it was coming out of its old skin.

Well the clear pic after I went back to look at it was in fact a lobster roach. The wings threw me off. Although the other one through the screen couldn't have been since I hadn't use any to feed yet.

I used to think that my crickets were heavy cannibals... (They are, but not as heavy as I originally thought...), I of course, know better now. They do shed! I accidentally killed one by pulling off the skin.. oops. I as about to feed it to Marimo, and well, there was the skin hanging off one of them. I pulled, and its head popped off D:

Oh wow lol yeah as far as I can tell they'll eat anything. I can't believe the perception of these things is cleaner than the roaches. After rearing my roaches now, I have no problem picking them up after all the disgusting crickets.

I can't wait until I can find roaches small enough for Marimo, then I won't have to deal with large amounts of crickets anymore. I will always keep a small amount for variety, but I don't think I want to breed them. Nasty things. They keep ripping off their own legs when I try to place them gently on a branch inside the cages. They flick so hard and then off goes a back leg, both back legs or even one side of legs -_- I don't understand their logic at all! "Oh my goodness, I am being ATTACKED! Let me just flail and rip off my own limbs so I can no longer move! I am so smart!!"

Lol I hear ya. They make their death so difficult. I have to give them credit for survival instincts. I have to think we're the cricket version of the movie "Saw". Except they don't think twice about ripping their limbs off. I have a TON of dubia babies that I just separated if you need any. What size are you lookin for?

I think shipping them to Germany would be more hassle than it's worth ;) I just have to get off my butt and find some suppliers really. My chams still have time though, 'mo is about 4 months old, and Yuki is around 3-4 months, hard to tell with her. Would probably need fairly young ones. The only place I know that has them are about 7-10 cm long or so.

I went to buy small crickets and when I got home to pour them in the cricket container there was a medium to large fully black one with it. It looks to unhealthy to feed to my cham so I just going to kill it!
