Molly's cage modified, critique again?

By the way for those who don't know Molly's sick that's why she has that huge bump on her eye. So please do not comment on how she looks, I am well aware thank you

Very pretty I like it... I am in the market for some larger branches because my little guy is not a little guy anymore... On the subject with the eye whats wrong with her is she going to be ok?

edit-- Is the long white box going to be where you want her to dig?

I'm pretty sure she has an infection. I'm trying to treat it but so far no luck. Yes the white box is the lay bin, i'm using that for now until she becomes gravid, if she ever does, and then i'm going to switch it out with a deeper one.

I was just wonderig because if you werent I was going to tell you to throw some rocks on top of the soil but never mind dont want to cover up her layin bin =]!!!! I love the cage and bet Molly is really enjoyin life right now!

Has Molly been to the Vet-it seems you have been fighting the eye thing for awhile. I would not change her cage around too much as this causes added stress to a chameleon possibly battling an infection.

Yeah she's been to a vet. But I refuse to give her hard antibiotics again because last time it almost killed her. I'm trying reptaid. Also, I just built the new cage so I just needed to add more vines and shade.

What do you mean by "hard" antibiotics? How did it almost kill her? Infection will certainly kill her. Maybe you need a different Vet?

Your new cage looks good; if I could offer any critique, it would be that it could use more areas of dense foliage. I feel it lowers the animals stress if there are several places where they can completely hide in thickets of foliage. I sometimes even put foliage on the OUTside of the environment to increase their feeling of security. For instance, in your picture the far side on the cage could be hung with artificial plants to make that side a bit more secluded. More inside would help too, from what I can see.

when I got her she was on some really strong antibiotics, I can't remember what they were called, the injectable kind. They had also tried baytril before that. But I set up an appointment for her for tomorrow so we'll see how it goes. I may have no choice. The antibiotics do a lot of damage, and last time she didn't eat, didn't drink, didn't move, and she didn't get any better. But this new vet I trust, so we'll see how it goes.

yes a little bit. But there isn't that much goop coming out. I'm pretty sure it's infected because now that side of her mouth is getting a bit swollen. She is hopefully going to be treated tomorrow and get through all of this.
