Mites and outdoor cages

Does anyone have any problems with reptile mites when keeping chams outdoors? I live in N Florida and have a gazillion Anoles around my home. When I have had snakes outside I had problems with mites. Could they come from the Anoles? Will my cham get them. He is a Jacksons so it is too hot for him most of the year but I do put him out in the morning and when it is cool.

Ive never had a problem with mites in my outdoor cages. I dont keep mine outside 24/7 though. They are mostly outside on weekend days and the occasional week day I have off. And we have a ton of anoles in Texas yr round also. In fact they love to hang around my cages and try to get the occasional escaped crick or dubia.

I'd be more worried about cats or coons trying to attack your guy at nite than mites. Thats why i bring mine inside, Ive got too many critters around my place at nite and the screen on these cages wont keep a coon or rat out if they want in.
