Hey everyone my new MistKing will be arriving soon an I cant wait to not have to hand mist as much. I am wondering what times do you have it go off at and for how long? I have never set one up so I just want to get an idea of how others have theirs set for. Thanks everyone for the help

I habe mine come 15 minutes after lights on and about every 2 1/2 hours after that. In addition to that I do a morning and afternoon hand mist.

I wasn't sure if I should have it come on like 5 mins before the lights, so it gets a good misting and the light will dry it up. Also I am not sure if I shud have it come on like every hr an a half for like 30 seconds? I don't know if that's too much? I don't know how much water they put out and how much of the cage will be misted by only one nozzle. I only have one Cham so I hope I only need the one nozzle. Any advice anyone can give me about setting up a MistKing and how I should program it through out the day would be great thanks

I do almost exactly the same... mine runs for 1 minute each time and that seems to work well in my enclosure. I also hand mist 2-3 times a day in addition to the Mist King. Important is that you see that water droplets have collected on the leaves in the cage so that your cham can drink and that the whole cage gets a good mist on it to increase humidity.

What I was doing before my mistking broke (my fault) was working really well for my guys. It was something like this for the longest days of the year (when it's winter and gets dark at like 5 I eliminated one of the middle misting and brought everything up earleir):

7am - Lights on
7:30 - 20 minute misting
11 - 5 minute misting
3 - 5 minute misting
5:30 -15 minute misting
7:30pm - lights out.

I always liked having a very long misitng to start the day and another to finish the day off. I found that none of mine really liked to drink if the mist was on for 30 seconds, since it takes them a minute or two to realize what's going on and realize they want to drink. So my shortest mistings have always been at least 3 minutes long. This schedule kept the humidity up well but allowed everything to dry throughout the day.

Needless to say though, I went through a lot of water. I recommend you make sure you have a way to dispose of the waste water that you know works!

Ok that's sounds like a pretty good plan. I know now that a few long mists is ok. I have drilled holes in the bottom of the cage to drain into a few pan I have set up under the cage. I plan to do something like your schedule younhad set up. Thanks for your help
