I was using a brita water filter for my water, but I guess it wasn't enough. What's the easiest way to clean a clogged MistKing?

what do you mean by clogged?
if the nozzles are not spraying like they used to then mistking says to soak them in a vinegar mixture overnight

some say CLR or vinegar helps. I've never actually tried it. I'm using RO and for several years now nozzles work just like on the first day.

You can run a little vinegar through your system to try and clear it up. Check out AquaZamp.Com he has some nice filtering stuff that can improve your system and keep it nice and clean!

R.O. is the way to go. I was using bottled R.O. water for a while and my rig worked like the day I set it up, but as soon as my cham collection grew I switched to tap water and my nozzels cloged. Now I'm saving up for a no waste R.O. system. I recently bought a years supply of replacment nozzles from Marty, now I'm set.

I use the AquaZamp RO/Misting system unit, all in one, with internet control. My AquaZamp nozzles have never clogged. In the past to clean out my Herp Mist and Mist king nozzles, I would soak the nozzles in CLR over a day or two.... then run them under water for a good long rinse... and even then soak them in just water to dilute any CLR left behind, it's good to change the water a couple of times to ensure nothing is left behind.

And another way to clean nozzles is to run RO water through them. The RO water will absorb the deposits on and in the nozzle

Kevin are you saying that my nozzles clogged when used under RO ? My nozzles never clogged either, so I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

it kinda sorta looks like your were saying AquaZamp may be better. saying aquazamp never clogs following by how to fix mistking.

anywho i dont think you meant it that way. cant wait to get mine. comes wendsday. any specials we can look forward to at the pomona expo marty???

it al comes down to the minerals in the water. Doesn't matter what water you use its gonna eventually plug up. its such apinhead hole doesn't take much to obstruct the water flow.

I've used 6 or 7 mist king nozzles and only 1 clogged on me and that was my own fault. It was a piece of something that got into the line and blocked the nozzle. I do have some mineral deposits on some of the nozzles, and routine cleaning helps...although I noticed clr works better than vinegar (just my opinion).

Yes, I'll have something for Pomona for sure. If you use tap water minerals will build up and things will get clogged up. Use RO and you'll never run into trouble.

just an FYI, we're coming up with our own nozzle tip. Still in the last stages of tweaking moulds at this time. The tefen tips just have too many rejects. I have been fighting with them for years. Out of a 1000 tips I end up routinely throwing out probably 30%. I am hoping to have a more consistant mist characteristics, while still keeping the low flow rate. Coming soon!
