Ive been reading about diy misters and all i see is that they dont work and all you get is a drip and not a mist. After looking about i see some Diaphragm Pumps on ebay going from £15 to £25 and the details seem to match the same as shop misters. Has anyone used these and if so what was the outcome. Thanks

I suppose it would be possible to do a DIY misting system but I would just purchase one from Mist King. You'll know everything will work. I would hate to put one together and have something go wrong and make a huge mess or worse cause damage or death of a Cham.
That being said they are pretty basic. Pump, tubing, fittings, spray nozzles. Only problem you may have with DIY is after completing a spray cycle the nozzles will drip due to back pressure. Also you may have difficulty finding a timer that you can set with a short on-off cycle.

You can make one out of a large handheld pump chemical yard sprayer. If you want it to be timed, you could hook up an in line valve from a lawn sprinkler system.
Still at the end of the day you are only saving $50-$75 if you want a true mist. If you just want a drip system then ya you can make with nothing more than an air bubbler and some tubing if you know what you are doing.

What I use.
I use the Monsoon RS400 you can buy it on amazon for 80 American dollars I dunno what currency you have from what you posted..... But fair warning. It has a fill hole to fill the bucket with water DO NOT USE THAT!!!!! It has a weak sealent problem and water will get in the circuits and cause it to wig out this just happened to mine Im sure you can find my posts from a few days ago. But I just went to my local pet store bought a new one. Its cheaper than a mistking. And works just as well.

Sorry, but I must strongly disagree with this statement. The timer is bunk, pump is weak, and the duration options are inadequate for chameleons.
The MistKing starter is only $99, and you will never have to go to the store to get a new one because of poor quality.

I thought of this unit as well but quickly turned to other options. Being you have now bought two it ends up you could have had almost two new units that are expandable from mistking or aquazamp which are much better quality. A in the end instead of saving $10.00 you really came out in the hole. I have read about folks that love them though but wonder if they have ever used something of better quality and reputation
I think it's pretty clear that no one knows...
