misting enough water

i mist my cham quite a few times during the day. i would say 4-6 times. i only mist for a very long time once a day and then the others are just light and mild. i use a spray bottle. does this alone have enough chances for the cam to be properly hydrated? or does he need a dripper i need to set up? reason being because i used to do both but now since i have all these lights on top it is hard to place a cup on top and let alone aim it where i want it to drop.

vieled he could be your avator twin. i was going to do a bubblestone in water but will the rabbit water drippers work? anyone have any luck? that could take forever to drip until you deep to refil

i recommend you use both.
It really is depend on your chameleon.
Is he already trained to drink from misting sessions?
Some chameleon are mist drinker and some are leaves lapper.

Just in case, I use both method so he can drink whatever method he's more comfortable with

i can never tell he usually hides when i mist, the day i got him he was drinkin from the styrofoam cup w/ a whole in it on top the cage

This is just my opinion
but I've done very well with having them drink from a glass of water

Mistings are great for young young animals (it's the only way)

But as they get larger I've started getting seeing problems
with having a constant drip going and misting all the time.
water pooling, bacteria, molding problems etc.

After some experimentation I've settled on
using wide mouth drinking glasses and they've given good results
in both attracting the animals and providing all the water they need -as desired.
So much so that I've stopped using any kind of drip system

I still do give them a misting every now and
then but just may be a holdover habit.

The biggest pain is that I often find the veiled's soiling the water..
so I'm now in the habit of cleaning the glasses every few days.
The good news is that they're not attracted to clouded water
so I've haven't had any problems with them drinking anything unclean (knock on wood).
