Ming Aralia... Yes or No?

So I recently bought a ming aralia from home depot, well actually it's a five seperate root structures and trunks all in one pot. I have read up on them and some places say they are toxic but I keep reading articles about using them in meller's free range and small ones for baby quads and even in panther cages. I was wondering if the toxins affected the chameleons or not? Obviously accidental ingestion is inevitable so it would be nice to know if they are harmful or not. Thanks for reading.

I have to admit I use this plant. Have four of them. Two frilly leaf, and two with the round leafs. Very bonzai looking. Here's a picture of the round leaf variety in background.
