Mia scared of UVB tube

Ever since i swapped her Uv from a compact to a tube my chameleon Mia doesn't seem happy. Her orange smudges go really dark and she sways when she goes near the tube. I turned it off and took the tube away from the top of her viv where i keep it and she went back to a nice colour and happy again. I don't wanna go back to using her compact bulb but don't want her to be unhappy either. What should i do? Will she get used to her tube? Or is it possible her smudges go dark to get the sun??

im thinkin that she may just be bitter that you tinkered with her house lol or u r right about wanting to attract more heat/rays. I would give it a few days and i bet she will be back to her old lighter coloured self. Come to think of it Carmie spent a few days darker than usual when i switched her lights around too.
