Metal Stand Inside Cage

Quick question. We are moving out "Rapunzal" (daughter named her) into a 4 ft cage and I'm wanting to put a metal stand inside the cage to hold some heavier things higher. Besides watching the metal to make sure no rust comes of it, is there anything else I should worry about? I'm being a paranoid mom and worrying about if she fell that the metal would hurt more then a branch would...... Thoughts? As it is mesh sided I can't attach this item to the mesh.

What I'm trying to get up higher in the cage is the cantina. (I know some people's thoughts on the cantina but it works for us and it is cleaned religiously)

She can't climb it but will try, I don't recommend putting the plain stand in the cage BUT if you did something like string sticks up all the sides and wind twine somewhat thickly around the poles so she could grab that go for it.

What about some sort of rubber or vinyl coated rack from a housewares store? There are all sorts of cupboard, shoe, closet, kitchen racks of many different sizes and configurations that might fit what you want. Time to roam the isles of big box stores for ideas. Then you could attach the cantina to it with zip ties or coated wire.
