Mesh on my home made cage

I recently made Yoda a home made 2x2x4 cage using pvc pipe and aluminum insect screen. Now I just read that their toes can get stuck in the aluminum screen and cause injury. Should I replace it with something else? I've seen him crawling around on it a few times.

I use regular screen door screen but I don't think you should have a problem
