Has merumontanus come back? I see adds on terrraritik, onder if the species has come back to the hobby.

I have not seen Trioceros jacksonii merumontanus for sale in North America for a long while. I say going on 10 years.

yes indeed, they are cut mf. I got a email a long while ago about someone selling a pair, but I think it was a scam. But now I see adds in terraristik so I wonder how it was in the hobby now.

A few months ago there was an import of wc merumontanus to Europe, despite Tanzania being closed. These animals are completely unrelated to any of the captive stock that has been in Europe the past few years. Likely they were smuggled to neighboring Kenya and exported as subadult xantholophus.
