Meet Rex!!

Hello everyone!! My name is Rex and I think that I'm quite the stud!! I was raised by my former mom, Catherine (PardalisGirl - she gave me my name), and used to live in Washington, but then this strange lady from Chicago bought me when she was visiting out here in October. I guess this lady didn't have room for me right away so I was able to stay with my mom for another couple of months, which was cool because she loves to hand feed me silk worms and horn worms and she spoiled me a lot! Well, about a week ago, this strange lady finally had me shipped to her to this fr-e-e-e-e-zing cold place, although I made it here safely (but I found out that I really do not like the people who handle the boxes because I was getting bounced all over the place!! So, here I am in my new home and my new mom (i.e. crazy lady) tells me that she has a couple females waiting to meet me. I have no idea what these "females" are, but I'm sure I will find out soon enough. In the meantime, I have been checking out my new digs and have been getting used to my new home (and trying to get used to being stared at and talked to by that crazy lady). I guess this lady isn't all that bad, though, since she brings me the silk worms and horn worms that I love.

Thanks guys! I fell in love with him right away when I saw him at the show in the Seattle area in the beginning of October. Catherine had a few of her boys for sale as she was trying to make room for a whole bunch of babies about to be born. I initially didn't want to buy him because I knew I didn't have room at home, but at the end of the show, Catherine made me an offer I couldn't refuse.....and who could refuse a face like that??

I miss this boy!

He IS a great looking boy and his personality is fun too. His mom was gravid at the time of import. I bought her with some other Ambilobes and he should be all Ambilobe. I've saved a bunch of his sisters for my own breeding purposes. I had bought several female Ambilobe and Ambanja females who were gravid at time of import. The ambilobes from these various clutches have ended up having some really vivid coloring. A lot of electric blues, lime greens and reds. I've held some back for myself for breeding.

I really wanted Rex to end up with Julie at the show. I could tell she really liked him and she was an ideal person for him to go to. This was the first time I've ever sold chameleons at a show. I've always sold them to forum members so I could see how they did and make sure they got good homes. At the show I think all the ones I sold ended up with forum members. That made me very happy. Can't wait for Julie to post some photos of Rex meeting his first lady. The adult females I had when he was here were his sisters. The unrelated females were not quite old enough for breeding so Rex was not able to have any fun here. Thanks for the post
