They have a article on a traveling frog exhibit and they have pictures of the enclosures. I was wondering how they made the trees in the enclosure? If anyone has knowledge on how to build one I like to hear it.

How big of a tree? I'm thinking large scale so think rebar, fiberglass, concrete, etc. I once made a 3D background for a my 200G mangrove swamp tank out of styrofoam and concrete. I hated it so I garage'd the piece.

I haven't seen the issue, but usually people either use:
A) make the desired shape w/ styrofoam then applied grout/concrete and let it cure for stones
B) Use corkboard
C) Use Great Stuff to create the desired shape. Let it dry. Then apply GE Silicone II and while it is wet, apply coco-crick (once it has expanded), then let dry.
