He looks great! As said before... such a big name for such a little cham, but he'll grow into it :D

Good luck with him, and i look forward to the regular updates on his development, they grow so quickly!! ;)

He's very nice. However, you'll have to remove him from the glass enclosure since they are unproper to Veiled (Chameleo Calyptratus). I'm sure you want the best for him, so i thought i could point it out! ;)

Thanks for the headsup on the glass, however when you say it's unproper to veileds, I take it you mean from when they are wild caught? He was kept in a glass set-up from where I got him from, so therefore will this tank not seem natural and normal? I'm sure he doesn't have latent memories passed down from previous generations of only being able to live in the trees and fresh air outside? Lol.
I understand everyone concern over keeping chams in glass set ups, but overhere in the UK, mesh cages aren't always an option especially with extremes of weather we experience here some times.

I do have plans to get a different set up once he is alot bigger in a few months time, but for now to help keep the heat in and humidity up, I'm sure the glass is fine. His mother and father are bith kept in large set-ups and his dad is 5 and a half years old so the can't be that bad for them?

Sorry to have a rant but glass set ups don't seem to be the evil that everyone jumps on the bandwagon of!

Thanks for all the kind words from you all though, hours of fun to come watching and playing with the little guy!

What a l'il cutie pie! I love them at that age - they look all eyes and legs, lol! It doesn't take them long at all to 'grow into their eyes'!:D I also can't wait to see him grow up in photos on here - Tommy was fully grown when I got him so I've never seen a baby male get his colours come through.

He will eventually need a bigger enclosure as you say. I am also in the UK and have kept both my females in the Exo Terra set ups and never had a problem with the glass/ventilation. There isn't a huge amount of shoice of housing over here really. Tommy is in one of the Viv Exotic set ups and I just leave his doors slightly open at both sides to let air in, plus I cut out a section of the top and covered it with wire so his lighting is above him outside the cage.

Some more pics of him today and his patterns. he looks so small in his new place.

So I took some pics of Max today! And, his new "slightly larger cage arrived" so i decided to set it up and see what its like and put a few decorations in to get a feel of it before I have to move loads of furniture etc to put it in my living room. have to say, I like it size wise! its 2x2x4 reptibreeze XL.

I think max looks a bit lost in it though. lol.

To be honest i liked his Exo Terra. People in the UK have rather different temps. and humidity levels then here in the US so you can use a glass cage like Miss Lily does. If you will keep him in the new screen cage...add back those thick green vines that you had in his exo terra and maybe get another plant for the right side.

Great looking guy though

Congrats on your new baby! He is so cute! I remember when my veileds were that small! They do grow so quick. Take lots of pics as he grows and keep us updated!

Iv still got his plants from the exo terra to go in too to fill the remaining floor space of the cage. All his green vines from the exo are going in too, I already made some larger ones that I braided together that you can see in his new cage already. The green vines are really just gardening wire that I picked up from wilkinsons and b&m and is rediculously cheap and you get 4.8meters per pack so there is plenty to play around with. I came back with 6 packs yesterday so will be busy this next week or so being creative! Will post some more pics once iv decided what else is going in. But for now Max can enjoy the cosyness of the exo.

he is great! we are proper chuffed with him!

So I wasnt going to put him in his new cage for a few weeks but decided, what the hell, as its set up and ready to go, may as well give him some fun to explore and get used to living it large!

he was in this 45x45x60cm exo-terra yesterday
