Max cage size

I was wondering if it would be okay to move my male panther into a custom made screen cage that is 16"x16"x30" I know that it would be very big for him and I would need to place plenty of feeder insects in there so he can find them. It has an umbrella tree that will provide sufficient cover. The reason I want to move him is because he is in a glass sided enclosure right now and I think he should be moved to screen. This is the smallest screen enclosure I have. Any thoughts?

I am supporter of "the bigger the better" cages for adults, so i would say it's OK to put him in it.
Just make sure there is place where he can find his food and it's gonna be OK.

That would be fine for a 3-6 months old..after 5-6 months he will need something larger.

I'm the same! The bigger the better! I started my male yemen off in a 24" x 24" x 48" when i got him at 3 months old. Just stick the food in near him and he'll find it!

what is his age??

I had my panther in the screen cage that was 24" x 24" x 48" since he was 2 month old as well. I just used a feeder bowl and he was great size and always found his food.

i have my 3 month old in a 16x16x30, yours should be just fine, You can always raise the floor a few inches to make it shorter if you think its too tall
