maturing male, prolapsed?

I've been a long time reader here but this is my first post. I have a approximately 6 month old Ambilobe cross that is starting to reach puberty and I believe his penis came out this morning. Upon further inspection of his cage while I was trying to clean his cage as my morning routine I found some white substance on a branch that I found out to be semen. So then I look a little more closely at my panther and he is slightly bleeding around his anus and penis area. I immediately searched on here what was going on with my cham and I followed some of the tips that I read such as soaking him in warm water for several minutes. After taking him out and cleaning off the blood I realized that there was something sticking out not much but just about 1-2 mm of flesh that I assumed to be his penis. it was pink and the tip was like a brownish coloration. So I continued to clean the area to properly inspect it and place him in the warm water again to hopefully releive some of the swelling and hopefully have it return to its normal state. FAIL. Its still out and I'm very worried now. I also put Vaseline on it so that it would stay moist and not dry up. He did however eat several crickets today but not as much as he usually eats and is still very active. He does seem a little odd as something isn't quite right which scares me.

I hand mist everyday a couple times a day and I also have an automatic mister that goes off every three hours for about a minute. I see him drink and eat all the time. I even have a dripper set up for him so i know he gets plenty of water.

PLEASE HELP and tell me he will be ok

Get to a VET ASAP. There is nothing that you will be able to do at home to help him. The Vet can try to get it back in or may have to amputate one or both hemipene, if that is what it is. Bowel prolapses are even worse.

I really was trying to avoid goin to the vet as my father is going in for abdominal surgery tomorrow morning and I dont think I'll have time to go to the vet tomorrow. There is nothing I can do myself? I actually have access to medical equipment since I work at a hospital such as steril equipment to maybe push it back or clean it off.

Can you get a better picture of the vent area? I am afraid there really is nothing you will be able to do without causing more harm. The animal is undoubtedly in pain. Usually you can drop animals off at the Vet for pick up later.

Just happed to my Ambanja twice. First time both were out so a short vet visit and a stitch later both back in.

Then two days later one was out again. Took him back to the vet and he used a thicker stitch and some type of "glue" that is used to seal the wound.

Said it isn't harmful and tomorrow will be a week and he is still looking great.

Don't wait as he can get an infection which can be fatal or lose them.

If you have k-y jelly you should use it instead of the vaseline. (I was told by my vet not to use vaseline....but its likely better than nothing.)

This was before I went to the vet today.

So they were able to put the penis back into where it was supposed to be for now. They said that if it happens again they will have to maybe stitch it closed for a little while till it heals, but I'm praying it stays in and he doesn't get the urge to "you know what again". :p He seems to be his old self again already. They gave him a shot of deworming, subcutaneous fluids, and they gave me oral suspension medication to give him and also several syringes of pain meds that is to be given every 72 hours.
