mating

My female chameleon has recently turned receptive and i want to mate her with my male. I put them together and he mated her but then he fell off. he also had a sperm plug which didn't go in her. i took him out cause i put him with her and tried them again later but now they won't mate. i then tried again and left them alone for a day and she stayed in one corner all day but when i got home she was hissing but not in gravid colours. Should i put her with him and leave her in there till she shows gravid colours or should i wait a day or two.

I could really do with some input. thanks

I would take her out,and let them relax for a few weeks,it sounds like it has been a stressful experiance for them,
You never know he may have done the job
Introduce them slowly and gently next time

Don't you need to remove the sperm plug? Or is mating possible with it in?
