I have a red eared slider and a map turtle. They are both about the same age, and wild caught. I have had them for about 7 years, but they are smaller than normal due to their 55 g tank. The map is a male and he is always flirting with the slider. He gets on her back, but can't seem to reach her tail. This time every year(spring) he does this. I don't know what to do becuase the slider gets irratated and looks like she wants to bite his head off!!
