Mating Help

So two weekends ago I tried to put my female panther in with the male panther. My female is 13 months old. It wasn't happening, she turned black, ran and throat puffed up. I took the male out immediately. I waited 4 days, and tried again same thing happened. I tried again yesterday, this time she stayed her colors didn't get aggressive towards him at all. He got on top of her, but nothing happened between them just laid there. I have read that I am suppose to leave them together for 72 hours now. It has been 24 hours that they have been together, but I haven't seen them even near each other. How do I know her eggs are fertile after the 72 hours or do I just cross my fingers?

If you leave them together and they mate she will take on the dark colors and hiss, gape, rock back and forth, etc. when she sees the male. At this time they should be separated and she should be gravid. The first clutch she lays after that may consist of some fertile and some infertile eggs or they could be all infertile or all fertile....hard to know where she is in her cycle.

Ok so leave them together even after the 72 hours if she is calm being near him, but when she get bitchy remove her?
