I have hatched these mantids from the ooth.
WHen they hatched they were smaller than my pinkie nail. Now, they are so much bigger!

Awesome! How old are they? I have a couple left out of my last ooth that im growing for my melleri but theyre still small, possibly mismolts. They have to be at least three months old lol

So how did you do it? Would love to hear your details. Are you feeding them to your Chams yet? How hard has it been? I really want to try mantis but not sure how get started and would like to give it a go after I figure things out a little.

They are about 3 months old, give or take a couple weeks.

I bought some ooths. strung them up in a cage, with some sticks, and waited.

Soon the ooth hatched, and little mantid babies emerged.

I misted once aday, seperated some (they are cannibals) and some i fed off to my smaller chams.

the rest, i fed them on fruit flies. then about two weeks ago, i started feedng them with fruit flies, and small crickets. im about to get some blue bottle and hosue flies, which are sllightly bigger and more entertaiing since they actually fly. im about to get some small exo terra cages, to seperaqte them out into individual homes.

i ordered sevearl ooths from pssh, a forum member.
came in the mail.

i have a low watt basking bulb over their cage, and run it the same time as my cham lights.

the ones i have left are pets, cept for one mismolt thats going to get fed off as soon as i find him lol.
