Mangroves safe?

Mangrove?

Mangroves are really hard to grow as a houseplant: they need super strong light and have to be grown sitting in salt water or wet soil. The leaves are very tough and unpalatable; I don't think many chams would try to to eat it, but at least one mangrove species is listed as being responsible for some livestock poisoning. Not a good plant choice.

That list is not to be trusted; it contains many plants that are not safe.
