Male yemen, veil doesnt seem to be growing

i have a male yemen chameleon around 8 months old, his veil doesn't seem to be growing. compared to images ive seen of other members veiled chameleons i was wondering could there be something wrong.

i can upload a photo taken when he was around 6 months and its not really grown at all from that point.

any info would be greatly appreciated

Yemen Chameleon, Male around 8-9 month old, purchased him april 22nd
handle him once or twice a week, not much
extra large locusts or black crickets 4-5 every other day feed the locusts/crickets carrots, dandelion leaves,
dust the locusts with calcium powder every other feed and nutrobal once a month
a dripper is installed although he tends to drink from the spray bottle when misting
fecal matter, regulalry generally dark with abit of white, never been tested for parasites

cage info exo terra glass viv, 3ft tall, 2.5 feet wide 2 feet deep
compact top for lighting on exo terra setup 3x 15watt 5.0 uv bulbs on for 14 hours a day
basking spot 90-100 top temperature in viv around 80 degrees 65 at bottom
humididty always around 60-70 percent
there is a live plant in the viv i think its an umbrella plant
the top of the viv is around 5ft from floor level, its located in my room not in direct sunlight.
