I got this male panther who ate perilite for like a week but hasn't eaten it in a week or so... He's around eleven months old, out had caused his feces to be shriveled, almost bird like & very small... Is this a problem, if so what kind of & how serious of a problem is it? What can I expect? Thank you ask in advance...

Your cham could be impacted. Def see a vet! IMO him eating the perlite could be caused by his diet lacking something. Def invest in a good proven Gutload. You should have something covering the soil, i use decorative rock from craft stores that are large enough that they can not ingest. Good luck

thanks for the info... I gut load Fasho with everything from cricket crack
To fresh fruits& veggies. Plus I got river rocks up cover soil with & he just kept digging through them... Someone mentioned that perilite looks like snail eggs & they eat them in the wild... it was suggested that I let them pass but it's been already two Weeks and he's still doing defecating like that...

Yes, eating perlite or any substrate is very bad for the chameleon and could cause death. If you know for sure he has ingested it I would see a vet.

If your Cham is determined to eat perilite, I would take that plan out and replace all the soil with organic soil that has no additives of any kind. Hope things go well for you boy.
