Male or Female?

im going to just stick with the bug burger and see what happens. I dont want to change his diet because Liddy said that he is just a late bloomer, that is the only thing wrong.

OK... well your diet seems up to par. Just hang in there....1 morning you will wake up & he will be as big as a kitten! DinoFuel is a good idea too,, it just adds more stuff to an already good gut load;)
My little guy came from LLL Reptile... he is a Sambava-Ambilobe cross

This is the same chameleon that I talked about in september. he is actually 6 months old, now that I just looked at the container.

yes, i got this from kammerflage kreations. I talked to Liddy a bunch of times and she told me she thinks it a male but im just on here for second opinions. She told me that she thinks that it is a late bloomer. She also told me that she kept one and she sent me pictures of its brother and it is much larger and more colorful. The one that she sent a picture of only had more green though.

So im very concerned

Thanks for all the help

Winterhawk1960, you seem very knowlageable please give me more of your ideas so this way I can think and maybe ask Liddy and that can get some ideas in her mind to figure out what is wrong.

First off.........I'm no expert, but it sure looks like a male to me. Secondly, Ed and Liddy are as honest as you will find and I wouldn't stress the fact that he is smaller than some others that were hatched at the same time. Ed and Liddy have probably forgotten more than I know and I would trust their opinions and judgement as well as several people that have commented on this thread also. Genetics is...........well.........genetics. Growth rates vary in everything and I'm sure that it is just as Liddy says.......he's a late bloomer.

I'm gonna attach a link to our ambilobe that we recieved at the end of September. I started it to show a "timeline" concerning growth rates and color changes after a shed. I feed exclusively the calcium plus from Repashy and gutload exclusively with bug burger. The only difference I see is that our little panther eats between 20 and 24 ........3/4" crickets daily. He does appear to be larger than yours so he can hold more in his stomach.

I'm due for another "photo shoot" with him soon........but this thread will give you kind of a time-line for his growth and changes that have taken place since he has been in our care.

I hope this helps.........

I donno. I have 2 Chams about 2-3 weeks apart. And the growth difference is amazing (they both get the same treatment aside for exclosure, one is in a glass viv and the other is in a screen cage). I guess chalk this one up to slow growth. But that is definatly really small for a 5 month old Ambliobe IMO!
