Hi. Are you sure your cutie is 6 months old? Going from casque size, he/she looks a bit younger. Veileds can usually be sexed almost from when they hatch as the tarsal spur on the males is present and usually quite prominent. If you post some clear pics of the heels of the back feet, we can help you figure out gender.

Ok, that makes a bit more sense, combined with her being a she. Both names are great! You could call her Kiwicado or Avowi. I would just call her honey, cutie or sweetie pie.

That’s so great!!! Laying can be stressful for them and us. Lol, I am not one of the most experienced with females but I feel like that’s a lot of eggs for her little body. Sometimes we can help reduce how many eggs per laying and that assists in longer lifespan with our little ladies. How much do you feed her and how often, and what is her basking temp? You may know already but when they mature reducing both of these can help reduce clutch sizes.

As @GrannyK has said, that is a lot of eggs and puts excess strain on her little body and its resources. Now that she’s lain her first clutch, you want to feed and hydrate her well for a couple of days. Hornworms and silkworms are great for after laying. Then you want to start her on her new food regimen of 3-4 appropriately sized feeders*, 3 days a week (plus treats). Keep her basking temps at and no higher than 80. It may take a cycle or two to kick in, but it should greatly reduce the number of eggs she produces and even may stop her from producing and laying any. This will in turn prolong her life. My veiled girl Stella hasn’t produced or laid any eggs since early 2022 and she’s now 6 years old. My sweet panther girl hasn’t ever produced or laid eggs and she’s 4.
*I prefer to give smaller feeders insects of about 1/2”, so will give 4-5 every Monday, Wednesday & Friday and then a treat on one of the weekend days.

I was starting to think there might be something wrong with my Littlefoot, she's about 10 or 11 months and still hasn't shown signs of having eggs, or her big girl colors... But knowing they can go so long before their first lay. I'll just keep following the golden rules.

We didn’t even see it coming. We did see her doing to the bottom and scouting out her bin but we didn’t think anything of it because she likes to wonder around. Then I spotter her digging about a week later.
