male or female

This is my first panther chameleon. I have been doing some research on how to sex them but because he/she is so little it's very difficult. I asked for a male but I'm not sure if that's what I got. Please help..... Pics are a little blurry. If better pics or a different angle are needed please let me know. Thanks, NHCF

The best way to tell would be to have him/her walk on a stick or rule so their tail is straight out. That way we can see the base of their tail more clearly.

NHenn, thanks for your response. I've only had my panther for a few days and its in an enclosure that's new to it and still really timid and probably stressed so I'm hesitant to try and handle it. Here are a couple pics I took when observing it with its tail pretty straight out. Hopefully they help. Thanks again, NHCF

It is really hard to tell in the pictures. If I had to give you a guess I would have to say female based off the color patterns in the first group of pictures but it could still very easily be a male. I would wait a few weeks till he/she settles in and then take some more pictures when you have him/her our of the cage.

If you could get some while crawling around the cage without the screen in the way you might be able to get an answer sooner.

here are a few more pictures. They were still taken from inside the enclosure but they may be enough for some of you to help me in determining the sex. I would appreciate any help that I can get because this little one still does not have a name and I am waiting to know for sure before I give it one. Thanks. NHCF

Most likely a female. I don't see any bulge in those pictures.
