making plants safe

going to buy a hibiscus tomorrow, and used to buying offline with no fertilizers/pestisides etc. but dont feel like shipping in freezing weather just in case....so how do i go about removing all the harmful stuff from the plant before putting it in his cage?

Repot it in fertilizer free organic soil and wash the leaves with soapy watter and rinse rinse rinse.

about how long should i rinse? and its ok if the plant goes in the same day or should i wait?

As long as you think it needs to he rinsed to get all of the soapy water, then do it for a little longer. As long as the soil is covered you can put it in after you're sure all the soap is off.

I use dawn personally. Never had a problem wih it.

Pssh u mention that the ground/soil needs to be cover..so we have cover the soil or screen it?
