making a cage today

Ok so i am reading about the wood and screen enclosures. And we plan on making a 3x3x5 cage. But i have always made our other critter cages with the small chicken wire is that ok to use for our Veiled Cham? or should i go pick up some screen? When i think of screen i do not thing very sturdy. but what do i know LOL

well if you plan on letting feeders go in the cage, then they will be able to escape. That is the downside of the chicken wire. You can use the chicken wire and staple screen on the outisde or inside(which ever works better) but most of us use regular screen. My outdoor cage is made of chicken wire but I do not feed my chameleon in there. Actually thre is a cetain grade of screen you need cause certain ones crickets can chew through! Now don't ask me which cause I have never built a cage using regular screen! It will be sturdy if you built a good solid frame.
