I was looking at d40's today. Ive been debating over a canon xti or a d40 but for the price of an xti i can get a d40 and a 200mm lense of some sort.

they look realy good i need to get a new camera any sugestions?

D40 is awesome enty-level DSLR for the money.
It takes some time to learn how to use it, but "buy once, buy right, never buy again".

From what I have learned the right lens makes the picture worth you while.
The 18-55 that comes with it is great for normal shooting.
If I were to buy another lens it would be larger than a 200.
The 60mm macro is a must!
I bought mine used for 250 shipped.
They have tons of lens for sale where I got mine.
I think the site is KEH.com or something like that.
They have used D40 kits for sale too.

Looks great Justin. Just keep playing and experimenting.

Bugs are fun!
