Yes, Alligator lizard.

Wow lucky.. I live in Washington.. our amphibious wildlife is abundant yet basic.. we have A skink that lives in a spec of the cascade mountains.. great scenery.. terrible herp hunting possibilitys.. I'm in wesstern Wa. Eastern has rattle snakes but who wants to find those demons.. I did have a baby opossim for a pet as a kid... Boring...

Im in NYC! we have ZERO native Lizards. I heard rumors of a non-native release of lizards ( not sure what kind) that have been able to survite the winter and have astablished a population in Queenz NYC. Went out , but couldnt find any.

Note: I went out went out when it was already cold last Fall , they might have went dormant!

Haha, Alligator lizards are smart little buggers. They can be tamed down if you're determined enough.

Sign that you have a good setup, though, right? If even the wild animals are coming in to hang out 'cause it's nicer than being in the wild? :)

Here's a feeding video took Sunday, in the Blair witch style. Showing a male. With camera in one hand and grasshopper in other. I was'nt able to remove both back legs before the male shot his tongue. Luckally I had my pruners in pocket to snip off the spikes before going down the hatch. Sunday was crack out the shade cloth and trim the jungle day in my backyard. As the daytime temps rise and days get longer.

The alligator lizard was at about 4' off the ground inside a ficus bush.

I have some of those as my clean up crew in my garage. They eat the stay bugs. I haven't seen any in the backyard since the remodel though. I've never seen one up a tree.
