not worth breeding as a feeder. Moths live for 7 days but pupae themselves can take 6 weeks to hatch AFTER diapause. It is a lenghty process. Try dubia or something instead.
btw. I dont think gestation was the right word to use there
another thing to think of, in the autumn and winter the Sweetgum trees (natural diet) dont have any leaves, and the pupae go dormant, so it takes a while....
I dont know to be honest about the larvae getting fed off, they are nice and green though, the only thing that concerns me is they have these little hairs on them that could irritate a cham.
