Yes, they are too cool to feed. This is my first generation of 2010. I hope to collect lots of ova, or eggs from this group, now that the host tree is filling out with new spring leaves.

not worth breeding as a feeder. Moths live for 7 days but pupae themselves can take 6 weeks to hatch AFTER diapause. It is a lenghty process. Try dubia or something instead.
btw. I dont think gestation was the right word to use there
another thing to think of, in the autumn and winter the Sweetgum trees (natural diet) dont have any leaves, and the pupae go dormant, so it takes a while....
I dont know to be honest about the larvae getting fed off, they are nice and green though, the only thing that concerns me is they have these little hairs on them that could irritate a cham.

Diet and nutritional value are my biggest concerns....
I am thinking about Dubia as well... but the Family is resisting the idea of any "roach" being allowed in the house... even if its fed off 10 seconds later.

No plans to sell ova. There are a few people across the United States that do.
I have twenty cacoons in a 20" tall x 15" deep x 6" wide - Four have emerged. 3.1 I had pairing last night. So will most likely move the two bachelors to a flight cage, till another female emerges.
No caterpillar feeding, they have hairs that would irritate. I'll post a egg/ova count when the female lays. If you have a medium to large sized chameleon you have to learn to live with crickets, or ask the family "how does a few hundred roaches sound"
