Hi there welcome to the forum. That lump could be an abscess or cyst. I would recommend a vet visit. Could he have been bitten by a cricket? There a few things in your husbandry you might want to change.
Orange cubes and lettuce are very poor gut loaders. However if it is romain lettuce that does have some good stuff in it. You might want to check out sandrachameleons blogs on gut loading. A good guide to supplements is plain calcium without d3 daily. Calcium with d3 twice a month and a multivitamin twice a month. A variety of feeders are good as well. Does he have a basking light? An ordinary household bulb is fine. Temps of 90-95 would be fine, yours are a little low. Heat pads are not recommended as heat is maintained 24 hrs a day and he needs a good temp drop overnight in order to slow down his metabolism in order to let him sleep. If you go to the forum home page, on the right hand side you will see Chameleon care . Click on there and you will find lots of info that will be helpful.:)

Thank you for the response! I scheduled a vet visit for this weekend. I do give my chameleon romaine lettuce, and I just started to add shredded carrots to the cricket's food. Thank you! I will get him set up with a basking light this week. I can always unplug his heating pad for the night when I need to, but he usually just sleeps on the opposite side of the cage and it seems to be fine.

hope the vet visit goes well! i dont have much experience in this area, so i dont have advice to offer but i hope whatever it turns out to be it can be dealt with fairly easily :)

please let us know how the vet visit goes :)

The vet took a sample, said it seems to be either a scratch or an insect bite that got infected. They gave me anti biotics to rub on his bump twice a day for 3 weeks. Hope this works! They said if he doesn't get better to bring him back.
