He is back in his cage, but its not there no more only there sometimes so don't no if couse he gets abit grumpy or something? Take you chameleon doesn't get this?

I don't believe that is fat. It looks to be a condition called Gular Edema. It is a build up of fluid. I have a chameleon that has it. It is not life threatening. It is believed to be an imbalance of some sort. Over supplementation is thought to be a cause but that is not the case with mine. No one really knows the exact causes or how to cure it. It may come and go in severity. I have had my chameleon for 1 1/2 yrs and he had it about 1 1/2 yrs prior to that according to the previous owner. Here is an article for you to read.

If you touch it it feels like fluid right, and moves around.?

I have read your link thank you , he doesn't have it all the time? Mostly when he is just out? But I will spray him more and should I cut down his calcium supplements?

Not a great picture. Do you mean the saggy part between his front legs under the throat , at the chest area?

that looks like edema. Typically from nutrient imbalance or lack of water.

I encourage you to provide answers to all the questions in the how to ask for help sticky.

That's what I was looking at. Sandra, you know I have a chameleon that has it. It definitely is not lack of water in my case or over supplementation. Nutrient balance..that could be. I just wish I knew what he was lacking or not processing.

Okay I will take it will be the water as I hand mist him probably not for long enough for him to drink enough :( I just don't want the cage to flood but I gess I have to do something about this soon as possible
