Walker and daddy are missing Fenix. To help pass the time, we're working on a new enclosure for Walker. Looks like he's digging it! ;)

Max, Walker does look to be enjoying the new enclosure. I know both you and Walker will miss Fenix for a good while, but he will always be in your heart. I miss him too.:(

I love the new enclosure Mike, looks like its quite roomy!!!
What's the idea behind the top section onI love the new enclosure Mike, looks like its quite roomy!!!
What's the idea behind the top section on the back being solid instead of screen? Just curious... ;)
Also the vine that Walker is climbing on in the forth picture... where does it come from,, it looks like cool!

Thanks, Lisa!

The plan is to find a nice photo (jungle, vines, rain forest, waterfall, etc) to laminate and stick on that wood. It'll serve two purposes: aesthetics and minimize water splashing onto the wall behind the enclosure. If this doesn't sound like a good idea, let me know.

The vine that he's on is one of those 6ft bendy vines that you get from the pet shop. I get them for like 2.99 each and use them in all of my enclosures... ;)

I wish I had the room for another cage that size! I would strongly suggest adding A LOT more foliage to it though...unless thats already in the process:)

Ha! I was waiting for someone to comment about the lack of foliage. This enclosure is in no way ready for occupation. I simply hung the vines and placed some sticks in for Walker to climb around on. I just wanted to see how small he looked in it. ;)

The backdrop, more vines, fake and real plants all still need to be placed before he can move in. :)

Fantastic looking home for Walker; its HUGE!!!

If that cage was for rent in NYC you could probably get a grand a month rent!

I think that's a very good idea, aesthetically and functionally!

Do you know the brand of the vine, those look different than the type I get from the pet stores here, I like the look of those better!!

This is like what I did for Zaphod's place. Its a picture on acrylic, but same idea. Gave a lot of depth to the enclosure, and he only tries to grab a "branch" once in a while . I don't think I will leave it on there if he is lucky enough to become a senior cham, due to the fact that I wouldn't want any mis-steps to cause a fall.
