Lost one of my Silkie Chicks.

I lost one of my silkies yesterday to what I now know is referred to as "pasty butt". You think if you can keep chameleons healthy enough to die of old age a chicken is nothing. Not so, I am a complete newbie. I am really torn up about it- all I had to do is soak the sucker in warm water and she would have most likely lived. I was so worried about diet, supplements and temps I never thought a little poop on the butt would kill it. I am now on "butt patrol" on the other 3...
